Uniforms and equipment have been carefully selected based on safety ratings and research conducted by established subject matter experts and recognized organizations in the field.
The league will provide the following uniform and equipment:
Schutt F7 Youth Air Helmet
Virginia Tech 5-star helmet Rating
​​A total of 40 youth football helmets have been evaluated using the STAR testing system. These tests assess each helmet’s ability to reduce both linear and rotational head acceleration from impact scenarios representative of youth football. Lab tests are based on impact data collected directly from 10- to 14-year-old players wearing sensor-equipped helmets. Helmets with more stars are associated with lower concussion risk in these scenarios. The Schutt F7 AiR Youth earned a 5 star rating. Its STAR value score of 0.95 ranked #6 of 40 helmets tested in 2025 by Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings. This configuration had a total weight of 3.1 lbs.
